Yotel has opened a property in London, marking the debut of its extended stay hotel brand, YotelPad, in Europe.
The 62-room YotelPad London Stratford has been designed to “challenge the traditional aparthotel space”, with rooms or “pads” complete with workspace and a kitchen or kitchenette for guests staying for up to a month or more.
The East London hotel also features Yotel’s Mission Control reception area, with digital stations for guests to check-in, a grab-and-go snack area, laundry and storage space.
Yotel has already opened its first two Yotel Pads in Park City, Utah, and Miami, Florida, aiming to attract longer-term guests.
Yotel CEO Hubert Viriot said: “We’re thrilled to welcome our first guests to Yotelpad London Stratford this week and to debut our brand for the first time outside the US.”
“This marks an exciting step for us as we seek to grow the Yotelpad brand globally to meet the growing demand for flexible extended stay accommodation around the world.”
This new-build London hotel was rated “outstanding” by certification body BREEAM for the sustainability of its design, thanks to initiatives like occupancy sensors to control the lighting, air-source heat pumps to provide hot water, solar panels, and bird and bat nesting boxes to support biodiversity in the area.
