Audrey Travel has expanded its European program by adding Norway.

Clients can visit the north (Tromso and Alta regions) in winter to see the Northern Lights, or the Lofoten islands in summer to enjoy outdoor activities like hiking, kayaking, etc. In the south, Audrey specialists design itineraries departing from Oslo and Bergen, visiting the fjords (staying in the fjord regions) or exploring the cities themselves.

Audrey and Norway

As with all Audrey’s trips, the new sample itineraries can be booked according to Audrey’s expert suggestions, or used as a starting point to work with country experts to design your own bespoke trip based on your preferences, budget and wish list.

Aurora appears in northern Norway

Suggested itineraries are designed to explore above the Arctic Circle and maximize your chances of seeing the Northern Lights, including a catamaran sailing tour across Tromsø’s dark fjords and a guided snowmobile ride across the wild tundra around Alta. Guests can also enjoy the scenery in a more traditional way, with a husky dog sled run along part of the Finnmarks Slopet Route, the world’s northernmost husky dog sled race. Accommodations close to Alta are glass-ceilinged rooms to increase your chances of seeing the Northern Lights.

Highlights of Lofoten

Guests visit on summer days when the midnight sun shines, staying overnight in traditional Rorbu (traditional 19th-century fishing huts now converted into luxury accommodation) in Svolvær, Nusfjord and Reine. Excursions include hikes into the mountains from Nusfjord and fishing trips; if guests are lucky enough to catch a fish, the chef will cook it for dinner.

Across the fjord, Manshausen Island is a private island with a handful of luxury cabins, each with floor-to-ceiling windows offering stunning views. Excursions include white-tailed eagle safaris and private hikes through the mountains, tailored to suit your abilities and fitness levels to make the most of the views.
