AI voice technology startup Synthflow AI today announced a $7.4 million seed round led by Singular, with participation from existing investors including Atlantic Labs and the founders of Krisp AI.
The new funding follows a $1.7 million pre-seed round led by Atlantic Labs in August 2023, bringing the company’s total funding to date to $9.1 million.
Founded in 2023 by serial entrepreneurs Hakob and Albert Astabatsyans, along with Sassun Mirzakhan-Saky, Synthflow AI was created to enable small businesses to interact with their customers.
“We decided to build a no-code layer similar to what Bubble.io did for web apps, so that every business owner can build a voice assistant without having to hire a tech team,” said Hakob Astabatsyan, co-founder and CEO of Synthflow.
Synthflow AI provides small and medium-sized businesses with a no-code, end-to-end solution to create, customize, and configure workflow automation for AI voice assistants. The platform enables users to rapidly deploy voice assistants that schedule appointments, collect and share real-time information, and provide customer support. Since emerging from stealth in December 2023, Synthflow has experienced double-digit month-over-month growth and is approaching 1,000 customers.
“We are investing heavily in developing best-in-class voice technology in-house to provide a human-like conversational experience to our customers. We are also focused on developing the no-code aspect of our platform to make it as easy as possible for our customers to adopt these assistants in real-world situations. But for business owners, delivering a great conversational experience is not enough — agents must be able to perform tasks end-to-end, like scheduling an appointment. What matters to business owners is ROI — if they don’t see ROI, it won’t be used,” Astavazian added.
The new funding will be used to enhance the platform’s capabilities and accelerate product innovation through research and development. The company also aims to expand its technical team to address more complex use cases, such as taking real-time actions during calls, develop an assistant that can handle more complex tasks, and serve customers in non-English-speaking countries such as Germany and France.
“Hakob, Albert and Sassun are an incredible and complementary trio. In just five months, Synthflow has seen impressive growth, demonstrating the team’s speed of execution and ability to rapidly iterate on their technology and product. Synthflow is redefining the way small and medium-sized businesses interact with conversational AI, bringing unprecedented time and cost savings to their operations,” said Eva Mayoud, investor at Singular.
