The massive deprecation of the Netflix app, which will see the platform removed from 60 TV models, is nearly complete.

The Netflix app will disappear from 60 TVs by the end of this month, even if they have a remote with a dedicated Netflix button.
Due to technical limitations, dozens of TVs have been deemed “too old” and cannot use the app any more.
The TV is about 10 years old.
Sony TV models are most affected, but some Apple TV models may also be affected.

Netflix has deemed these TVs too old, but their owners don’t think so.
“So frustrating! This evening @NetflixUK showed a message on my screen saying the app will stop working from July 24th on my perfectly working Sony TV,” one subscriber wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
“There’s even a Netflix button on the remote!”

Luckily, you can use these TV devices to access Netflix, and it’s a lot cheaper than replacing your TV.
Google Chromecast
The cheapest gadget you can get is the Google Chromecast HD Snow, which costs £34.99.
This allows buyers to stream 4K HDR content to their TV and comes with a two-year warranty.
Users can send a ton of streaming content, including Netflix, to their old TVs over Wi-Fi.
Like other products on the market, voice search is also possible via Google Assistant.
Roku Express 4K
The next gadget is the Roku Express 4K, which you can buy now for £39.99.
The device comes with a range of streaming apps and gives your older TV the benefits of a smart TV.
As well as Netflix, users can watch thousands of free and paid channels, including BBC iPlayer, Disney+, ITV Hub, All4, My5, Apple TV+, BT Sport, Prime Video and NOW.
Customers can stream in HD, 4K Ultra HD and HDR to enjoy vibrant colors on their TVs.
It also has a handy voice search feature that helps you find shows even faster.
However, it’s important to note that due to licensing restrictions, most apps only work in the UK.
Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K
More expensive, but still much cheaper than a new TV, is Amazon’s Fire TV Stick 4K.
For £59.99/$54.99, users can watch all their favourite shows, including Netflix content, in 4K quality.
Just recently, the gadget started supporting Xbox cloud gaming, meaning owners can access and play their favorite video games using the Fire Stick.
Besides the standard subscription-based apps, there are also plenty of free TV apps, such as Amazon Freevee and Pluto TV.
Additionally, the Fire Stick is compatible with Amazon’s other Alexa devices, so you can also use the voice remote feature to dim the lights and check the weather.
Got a PS4, PS5 or Xbox?
If you already have a gaming console, there’s no need to buy these gadgets.
The PS4, PS5, and Xbox all have the Netflix app, allowing you to watch your favorite shows if you have a subscription.
Unfortunately, this doesn’t apply to all consoles.
For example, the Netflix app is not available on the Nintendo Switch.
Nintendo Switch owners can instead access a variety of streaming apps, including YouTube, Hulu, Crunchyroll, and Funimation.
