As the summer travel season heats up, millions of people are preparing to travel within Europe and abroad.

This year, Uber introduced a unique sailing experience for tourists traveling through Spain, Greece and France.

Uber’s new travel product responds to growing demand for its services in major European tourist destinations.

In 2023, Uber saw up to 55% growth in use of its mobility services by international customers in regions such as Greece and Spain, with more than 6.5 million international customers using the Uber app in Europe’s most popular spots last summer alone.

Anabel Dias, vice president of mobility EMEA at Uber, said: “At Uber, we want to give our customers the opportunity to get where they want to travel.

“This summer we’re adding bucket-of-a-lifetime sea experiences to our app in some of Europe’s most popular destinations, helping holidaymakers make the most of their trips on the high seas.”

Uber Boat Service, Learn More

This month, the company launched its first water transportation service in Venice: Uber Limousine Boat, an on-demand ride around the Venetian lagoon for up to six people, starting at 120 euros per trip.

Available daily from 8am to 8pm, this service is a convenient way to explore Venice’s iconic waterways.

Already popular in Mykonos, Greece, Uber Boat is set to expand to Athens, Corfu and Santorini later in July. Travelers can book these boats through the Uber app, making it easy to get to beach clubs, beautiful coves and secluded locations.

Tourists visiting Paris this summer can take advantage of Uber Cruise, a free, one-hour private tour along the Seine.

Up to six passengers can sip champagne on board the all-electric vessel and enjoy breathtaking views of Notre Dame, the Louvre and the Eiffel Tower.

Uber is launching Uber Yacht in Ibiza this August, where for €200 per person, groups of up to eight people can pre-book an eight-hour private yacht experience directly through the Uber app.

Departing from Ibiza Town Marina at midday each day, the Sunseeker Yacht comes equipped with a personal skipper, complimentary drinks and hand-prepared snacks.

Visitors can explore Formentera’s crystal clear waters and watch a beautiful sunset at Es Vedra, all with round-trip transport to and from the yacht included.

Reservations will begin on July 26th via Uber Reserve.

Boat service availability is limited and subject to weather conditions.
