Icelandic budget airline Play is celebrating summer by offering flights to popular European destinations for under $100 just in time for Independence Day on July 4th.
The deal, which Play shared with Travel + Leisure, must be booked by midnight ET on July 8 and applies to trips to Iceland, Dublin, Berlin, Paris and London. Travelers can book the deal on Play’s website.
“Travel to Europe is popular this summer, with many prices increasing,” PLAY CEO Einar Örn Ólafsson told T+L. “PLAY has always offered affordable fares, and this is our cheapest offer yet, making travel to Iceland and Europe within reach. This ‘cool down’ fare allows travelers to take advantage of the off-season, with cooler temperatures and fewer crowds in iconic destinations.”
The sale allows travelers to purchase flights to Iceland from just $79, and flights to Dublin, Berlin, Paris and London from just $99.
The sale is valid at Play Gateway airports in the U.S., including Baltimore/Washington International Airport Thurgood Marshall (BWI), Boston Logan International Airport (BOS), New York Stewart International Airport (SWF) and Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD).
Travel to Iceland is available from 2 September to 15 December, while travel to Dublin, Berlin, Paris and London is available from 5 to 23 September, 25 September to 9 November, 11 to 30 November and 2 to 15 December.
Play Air began operating in Europe in 2021, with its first flight from the US the following year. The airline operates a “hub-and-spoke model,” with all flights passing through Reykjavik before heading to destinations across Europe.
The airline flies to over 20 cities in Europe.
Play is an ultra-low-cost airline that charges per flight segment for everything from checked baggage to in-flight meals and drinks. The airline operates a fleet of Airbus aircraft, including the A320 and A321neo planes.
