Many modern kitchens are a happy blend of old-fashioned tools and high-tech gadgets, and here at Engadget we’ve tried it all. We’ve tested air fryers, reviewed ice cream makers, figured out exactly what the benefits of sous vide cookers are, and raved about pepper mills. Many of the appliances and kitchen gadgets we recommend are discounted during Amazon Prime Day 2024, and we’ve rounded up the best ones here. If you’ve been waiting to score a deal on new kitchen tech, now’s your chance to grab one before the sales are over.
As with all of Engadget’s tech deals coverage, we feature almost exclusively discounts on gear that we’ve tested or used and know is worth your money. We’ve collated the Prime Day deals offered by Amazon with our guides and reviews to create the deals you see here, and we’ll be updating our roundup of these deals throughout the two days of the Amazon Prime Day sale.
Amazon Prime Day kitchen deals
Vitamix
In our guide to favorite kitchen gadgets, we feature the Vitamix E310 Explorian blender as one of our top picks for any kitchen. It lists for $380, but is currently $50 off at $330, which is about $50 more than its lowest price ever.
While this is still a pricey purchase, we were impressed with its ability to make even the toughest ingredients smooth and creamy.

Ninja
The Ninja DZ401 Foodi 10 Quart Air Fryer is a great choice for anyone looking for a great dual-zone air fryer. After testing it, I think this product is best suited for those with larger kitchens as it does take up a lot of space. However, if you’re cooking for a large group of people at once, you’ll definitely appreciate this product’s capacity and the ability to cook two different dishes at the same time at different temperatures.
It also has a special feature that allows you to preheat almost instantly and cook two types of food at the same time while keeping them hot. It normally costs around $230, but is currently on sale for $180, which is about $40 more than last year’s Black Friday sale price.

Instant Pot
The Instant Vortex Plus 6QT Air Fryer is our top overall pick for an air fryer because it heats up quickly, cooks food evenly, and has a convenient window that lets you see what’s going on inside your food. The “Odor Erase” technology is pretty effective at reducing cooking odors, but it didn’t completely eliminate them.
Thanks to Prime Day, the 6-quart air fryer is currently available for $129, a nice discount off its list price of $170, but it’s also been seen dropping as low as $72.

Breville
The Breville Smart Oven Air Fryer Pro is 25% off its $400 retail price for Prime Day, and is now just $300, making it the cheapest price it’s been in the past year.
Our favorite air fryer and toaster oven combo is the Breville Smart Oven. It’s huge enough to fit a 5-quart Dutch oven, so it can almost double as a secondary oven. It’s perfect for entertaining and cooking for a large crowd.
Although it has “smart” in the name, this doesn’t mean it’s connected to an app, but rather refers to the internal technology that regulates and directs heat as you cook.

SodaStream
Those who prefer bubbles in their drinks can purchase the SodaStream Art Bundle, which is currently discounted to $105 instead of the usual price of $199. This is the new price. The set includes the carbonated water machine, two 60-liter CO2 cylinders, two dishwasher-safe bottles, and two flavor drops.

Instant Pot
Our pick of the best budget-friendly product from our sous vide cooker guide is the Accu Slim Sous Vide by Instant Pot, currently priced at $68, within a few dollars of its all-time low.
Made by the makers of the ubiquitous Instant Pot, we think this stick is a great starting point for anyone just getting started with sous vide cooking: The controls are simple, the clamp is easy to use, and the 800-watt heater is more than powerful enough to maintain a consistent temperature.

Breville
The premium sous vide cooker featured in this guide comes from Breville. The brand’s Joule Turbo sous vide cooker normally retails for $250, but is a bit more affordable at $200 for Prime Day, making it the cheapest price we’ve seen so far.
It has a powerful 1,100-watt heater and a new Turbo mode that cuts down on cooking times. Note that there are no built-in controls, so you’ll need to control it with your smartphone via the companion app.

KitchenAid
The KitchenAid Variable Speed Corded Hand Blender is a corded version of our favorite hand blender, and it’s currently on sale for $45, $25 off, which matches the lowest price it’s been at over the past year, though we’ve seen this particular price a few times before, so it’s not necessarily a Prime Day-related promotion.
Like its wireless sibling, this version also has a variable speed feature, so the harder you squeeze the trigger, the different speeds you get for more precise blending. It also comes with a pan guard to prevent scratches and a dishwasher-safe blending jar.

Vitamix
The Vitamix Immersion Blender is our pick for a countertop alternative in our Immersion Blender Guide. Currently, a three-piece set that includes a whisk attachment and storage case is just $130, which is less than the retail price of the blender alone. At list price, the set costs $170.
Vitamix’s handheld machines have one of the most powerful motors we’ve tried, and their unique heads not only maximize pulling power to better mix ingredients, but they also fit into 1-quart jars, making mixing more convenient.

KitchenAid
Another Kitchen Appliance Guide pick is the KitchenAid Artisan 5-Quart Stand Mixer, which is on sale for $350 on Prime Day as part of a set with a FlexEdge beater, which is $100 less than the blender alone and $125 less than the set’s list price.
Artisan Series mixers have long been a favorite of home bakers because they’re durable, powerful, and look great on your countertop, and their extensive range of attachments means you can use them for more than just one purpose.

The Breville Juice Fountain Plus impressed us with its ability to extract juice from the driest veggies, and it’s currently on sale for $130, $50 off Prime Day, which is about $5 more than it was last Prime Day.
It’s relatively easy to clean as long as you clean it right after squeezing the juice, and the motor inside is surprisingly powerful. It does take up a fair bit of space, but it makes delicious, healthy juice without a lot of hassle.

AmazonBasics
Another great little kitchen gadget for those interested in baking is the Amazon Basics Digital Kitchen Scale, available for just $9 on Prime Day.
I love that it’s compact yet can measure up to 11 pounds. Plus, you can easily switch between pounds, grams, and fluid ounces. It’s a handy tool for cooking and a must-have for baking.

Secretly
The Cosori electric gooseneck kettle was marked down to $56 instead of $70 on Prime Day, matching the lowest price we’ve seen this year.
This electric kettle has different built-in temperature settings for different types of drinks, and the neck was perfect for Chemex-brewed coffee, so it could fit on our editor’s small countertop.

Chemex
The Chemex Pour-Over Glass Coffeemaker is also on sale right now. You can get this popular coffee gadget for just $43 instead of the $47 retail price. It’s another pick from our small gadgets guide. We love that it takes up less space than a drip machine and makes a much tastier cup of coffee.
