Rail Europe has appointed Robert From as chief growth officer, overseeing its B2C business, including customer acquisition, growth, retention, ancillary services and monetisation.
His arrival comes at a pivotal time, as Rail Europe plans to launch a new booking experience for B2C customers across both its website and app by early 2025.
From has over 15 years of experience in the international expansion of technology and media businesses.
Previously, at MaaS Global, he was responsible for managing WHIM, dubbed the “Netflix of Mobility.” In this role, he led the company to significant revenue, customer and usage growth, growing the total number of customers served to 650,000 and facilitating 25 million trips.
He has also held several leadership roles at Google in the Nordics and Southeast Asia, in his last role playing a key role in scaling YouTube monetization in Finland and the Nordics.
During his time at Google, he also helped companies in the technology, e-commerce, FMCG and consumer services sectors grow revenue, build brands and improve customer service.
