Mobile phone maker OnePlus is set to hold its summer launch event on July 16, the company announced on Wednesday. The specific devices that will be announced are unknown. OnePlus has released a new teaser image featuring the word “Nord” in silver, further hinting at the launch of the Nord 4. The company has promised to provide more information in the coming days. Along with the Nord 4, the event is said to officially unveil the OnePlus Buds 3 Pro and OnePlus Watch 2R.
In particular, last summer’s launch event focused on Nord-branded products, including smartphones and truly wireless stereo (TWS) earphones.
OnePlus has announced that its summer launch event will take place in Milan, Italy on July 16. The company’s metal teaser card reads, “Some say it’s impossible to build a smartphone with the strength, sophistication and durability of metal in the 5G era. We say… we will never compromise.”
According to some leaks and rumors, the OnePlus Nord 4 could be a rebranded version of the China-exclusive OnePlus Ace 3V. The China-exclusive model features a 6.74-inch OLED flat display with 1.5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 1,100 nits HBM brightness, and 2160Hz PWM dimming. The OnePlus Ace 3V is IP65-rated for dust and water resistance.
OnePlus Ace 3V is powered by Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 SoC, up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM, and 512GB UFS 4.0 storage. This OnePlus device runs on Android 14 OS.
The OnePlus Watch 2R is likely to share the same design as the Chinese version of the OnePlus Watch 2, which features an aluminum alloy case. However, the specifications and features are expected to be simplified.
