Australians heading to Europe this summer are in luck, as Uber is launching a boat service to six tourist hotspots on the continent. Lucky for them, they’re in Europe and lucky for us, we’re not. How does it feel to be loved by God?
The new summer service aims to make it as easy for tourists to get around Ibiza, Venice, Athens, Paris, Corfu and Santorini as it is to get around the city with Uber.
“At Uber, we want to give our customers the opportunity to get where they want to go, no matter where they travel. This summer, we’re adding bucket-list experiences at sea to the Uber app in some of Europe’s most popular destinations, helping holidaymakers make the most of their journeys on the water,” Anabel Dias, Uber’s vice president of mobility EMEA, said of the new boat options.
“Whether you’re cruising Ibiza on a private yacht or experiencing the Venetian lagoon by boat, we’re thrilled to be able to add some Uber magic to your vacations this summer.

Tourists in Mykonos can use Uber Boat to tour the Greek islands, while guests in Paris can book an Uber Cruise down the Seine.
Or, if you’re looking for something more luxurious, you can order an Uber Yacht in Ibiza.
Starting in August, you can book a private yacht for a day and cruise around Ibiza feeling much wealthier than you actually are.
Uber Yacht departs from Ibiza Town Marina every day at 12pm, offering groups of up to eight people the opportunity to sail on a Sunseeker yacht for €200 per person (approximately AUD$322).
Your trip includes a complimentary bottle of Champagne, local snacks, transportation to your yacht, and a personal skipper.

Uber Yacht will be available from August 3rd to August 20th, with bookings via Uber Reserve opening on July 26th.
Meanwhile, tourists in Venice will finally be able to zig-zag through the city’s canals in a practical way: an Uber Boat.
Prices start from 120 euros per trip, the boats can accommodate up to six people and are available daily from 8am to 8pm.
Honestly, for someone like me who would never book anything that isn’t available through a handy app in my pocket, this new service is a huge win, and I think it’s the only reason I’m not cruising around the Greek Isles on a superyacht.
All Uber yacht, cruise and boat tours are subject to availability and weather conditions.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have to book a trip to Europe.
