Celebrity kid turned model Jewels J. Smith Jr. walked the Versace runway at Milan Fashion Week this weekend. This marked Jewels’ second major catwalk appearance in recent weeks.
His mother, Solange Knowles, was there to support Smith as he strode confidently down the runway, dazzling the crowd in a sleek dark brown leather jacket and trouser combination from Versace’s Fall/Winter 2024 collection.
Tina Knowles showed her love for her grandson on Instagram, sharing photos of him walking down the runway at two recent shows with straight cornrows and two leather ensembles.
“My grandson walked in the Versace fashion show in Milan, Italy yesterday as part of European Fashion Week. He also walked in the US Fashion Week for the brand “Luar”. What a supermodel ❤️ @iamjulezjsmith”
He was quick to respond to the words of love he received in the comments section: “I love you grandma 🖤🖤,” he wrote underneath the post.

As mentioned above, before taking the Milan runway by storm, Smith made his modeling debut at the LUAR show during New York Fashion Week on February 13. In addition to his mother, his aunt Beyoncé and grandmother Tina were also in attendance to show him some love.
Though his catwalk career is just beginning, Smith’s modeling history dates back to his childhood: When Julez was three years old, he was the face of Baby Jamz, a hip-hop-inspired toy line produced by Music World Entertainment, the label founded by his grandfather, Matthew Knowles, and whose mother, Solange, was also involved in the business.
In this context, the apple doesn’t fall far. Solange Knowles is a cutting-edge fashion icon herself, constantly pushing the boundaries in terms of costume, music, and just about everything else you can think of. In case you didn’t know, the multitalented star is writing the score for an original piece for the New York City Ballet in 2022. Similarly, when Jewels isn’t making an impression on the runway, she’s also multitalented, playing basketball, proving herself to be a songwriter, and producing beats.
“I do a little bit of producing. I make beats. So, I think it’s fun. I don’t want to go that far, but it’s something I do as a side hustle,” the 19-year-old told 97.9 The Box in 2019. “But it’s fun. I love producing.”
We can’t wait to see what Julez does next, and just like his mom, he knows no bounds.
