Before we knew it, Fall/Winter was over and Spring/Summer 2024 trends were here. Of course, this happens every year, but for some reason, they always seem to surprise everyone. If you’re obsessed with the latest menswear trends, here’s how to make it just a little easier.
From donning teeny-tiny shorts a la Paul Mescal to donning Studio 54-inspired fashion a la Kit Connor, these are the big trends for spring/summer 2024 that we’ll be wearing when warmer weather finally returns (and we’re already praying fervently for it).
A look at the trends for Spring/Summer 2024…
How do you pick your favourite SS24 trends?
Typically, there are two show seasons a year (though there are resort and pre-fall shows too, but let’s not overcomplicate this), so after the big brands show their new collections in London, New York, Paris, and Milan, the GQ team combs through all the collections to find commonalities.
And these regular rhythms become trends. Some trends are obvious—for example, if five or so brands are doing leopard print in a big way, it’s obvious—but others are a little more hidden, with commonalities in color, shape, and different silhouettes found across collections.
From there, we’ll thoroughly analyze the good stuff to bring you a comprehensive guide to SS24 men’s trends, plus recommend some products you can work into your everyday wardrobe.
GQ’s Big List of Men’s SS24 Trends
Snake, leopard, and zebra prints have long been a part of womenswear, but for spring/summer 2024, menswear designers are embracing them with enthusiasm. At Jil Sander, snakeskin-inspired coats were paired with demure outfits, while at Saint Laurent, creative director Anthony Vaccarello upped the ante with a chunky leopard-print faux-fur coat that added a touch of sexiness to his usual look.
Similarly, Kim Jones sent models down the Dior catwalk in leopard-print vest tops, while Vivienne Westwood’s design team went all-in on horsehair cow-print boots. Western core, you know, etc.

Shorts have been getting shorter and shorter, and the shrinking trend continues: For Spring/Summer 2024, shorts will be extended a few more inches onto men’s thighs, and designers are reinventing the wheel with micro shorts that barely have a short length at all.
