Lucknow: A doctor at a private hospital has been accused of stalking and harassing a girl. Not only that, the accused also used artificial intelligence and other modern gadgets to edit the girl’s photographs and threatened the girl’s father and brother with dire consequences. According to the girl’s father, the accused befriended the girl and obtained her photographs and other documents, as well as family photographs. “He then resorted to harassment. When I came to know about this, I questioned him and asked him not to behave like this. My son also objected to his actions and asked him not to harass the victim,” the girl’s father told police. He said the accused had been constantly monitoring his daughter’s activities and his own. “Whenever we negotiated for the girl’s marriage, he would get information by snoopers and spies and end the negotiations by providing false information about the girl. “He is demanding money in return for relieving us from harassment,” he alleged. He said the accused had been stalking the girl for the last few months. “He threatened to injure her face so that she would not be able to show her face to anyone in the society,” he alleged. SHO, Gomtinagar Bistar, Sudheer Awasthi said an FIR has been registered and an investigation is on.
